Ranking Member Thompson Leads Homeland Security Committee Democrats on Southwest Border Visit
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, Friday, April 21, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security, will lead a delegation of Committee Democrats to the Southwest Border. The visit will include a discussion of border security and immigration issues with local officials and also include tours of DHS border facilities and technologies in McAllen and Brownsville, Texas. Members will hear from Custom and Border Protection’s Office of Field Operations, U.S Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, and CBP Air and Marine Operations.
