TOMORROW: Congressional Hearing on State and Local Response to Domestic Terrorism

(WASHINGTON) – On Wednesday, March 24th, the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism, chaired by Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), will hold a virtual hearing with top state officials examining state and local response to domestic terrorism and the Capitol siege.

This hearing will provide Members the opportunity to discuss, 1) existing state terrorism statutes and other laws used to prosecute individuals engaged in acts of domestic terrorism, 2) how states coordinate with the Federal government to combat the threat and how the Federal government can better complement state and local communities’ efforts, and 3) how state and local entities are working to counter the threat and prevent future domestic terrorism attacks.  This hearing will be streamed live on YouTube (link below).
