TOMORROW @ 10AM: Joint Hearing on Assessing DHS’s Efforts to Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems

(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, March 31st,  the Subcommittee on Oversight, Management, & Accountability, chaired by Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA), and the Subcommittee on Transportation & Maritime Security, chaired by Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) will hold a joint hearing to examine the Department of Homeland Security’s counter unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) authority to mitigate threats to homeland security posed by drones. With the C-UAS authority sunsetting later this year, Members will also hear about how the Department and its components have used its authority thus far and how they would like to use it in the future, if it were extended or reformed.
