Chairman Thompson & Rep. Cleaver to Hold Virtual Forum on the Need to Keep the Postal Service Running During COVID-19

(WASHINGTON) – On Wednesday, June 3rd, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, and Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) will host a forum on the national security nexus of U.S. Postal Service operations during the coronavirus pandemic.  Members will discuss how the failure to keep the Postal Service fully operational would severely – and needlessly – undermine the government's ability to provide basic services.  Members will be joined by John McHugh of The Package Coalition Chairman and Jim Sauber of the National Association of Letter Carriers. This event will be streamed live.
