TOMORROW @ 2PM: Hearing on the Court-Ordered Reimplementation of the Remain in Mexico Policy
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, March 2, the Committee on Homeland Security’s Subcommittee on Border Security, Facilitation, and Operations, chaired by Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán (D-CA), will hold a hearing to examine the ongoing challenges with the court-ordered reimplementation of the Remain in Mexico Policy, also known as the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). Representatives from the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department will discuss operations and efforts to improve overall conditions for migrants enrolled in the program in comparison to the version of MPP that was originally implemented under the Trump Administration.
