TOMORROW @ 10AM: Hearing on FEMA Workforce Challenges
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, March 1st, the Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Response & Recovery, chaired by Rep. Val Demings (D-FL), will hold a hearing entitled, “FEMA: Building a Workforce Prepared and Ready to Respond Part 2.” The hearing will be an opportunity to examine FEMA’s ongoing workforce challenges (including recruitment, training, and retention), the impact these challenges have on FEMA’s ability to meet its mission, and how the agency can strengthen its workforce. This hearing is a continuation of a FEMA workforce hearing the subcommittee held in January.
