TOMORROW @ 2PM: Joint Subcommittee Hearing on DHS’s Efforts Resettling Afghan Evacuees
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, October 21st, the Subcommittee on Oversight, Management & Accountability, chaired by Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) and the Subcommittee on Border Security, Facilitation & Operations, chaired by Rep. Nanette Barragán (D-CA) will hold a joint hearing to examine DHS’s efforts as the lead Federal agency coordinating Operation Allies Welcome (OAW), the resettlement of evacuated Afghans in the United States. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) partnering with the Federal government on resettlement efforts will discuss the implementation of OAW to date and their recommendations going forward.
