WEDNESDAY: Democrats to Hold Hearing on U.S. Citizens Targeted by Trump’s Immigration Raids
(WASHINGTON) – This Wednesday, November 19th, Ranking Member Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Committee on Homeland Security Democrats will hold a Democratic forum in Washington, DC on the impact of Trump’s immigration raids and mass deportations on U.S. citizens across the country.
Members will hear from those personally impacted and also from civil rights and immigration stakeholders and groups on what they have seen on the ground since January. This forum will be streamed online.
“As the Trump administration continues its out of control, illegal, and unpopular immigration raids across the country, it critical we hear how they are directly impacting our communities and U.S. citizens,” said Congressman Bennie G. Thompson. “This shadow hearing will be a chance for the American people to hear from experts on the harms being done, including to children, while also hearing from those personally impacted.”
