(WASHINGTON) – This Thursday, Committee on Homeland Security Democrats, led by Ranking Member Bennie G. Thompson, and the Disaster Equity and Building Resilience Caucus will co-host an event with former FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell to discuss President Trump attempting to eliminate the critical disaster response agency. The Disaster Equity and Building Resilience Caucus, co-chaired by Reps. Bennie G. Thompson, Troy A. Carter, Sr., Dina Titus, and Tim Kennedy, was created in 2023 with the goal of making disaster outcomes more equitable and making communities stronger.
