Ranking Member Thompson to Lead Visit to Southwest Border to Conduct Oversight of Trump Policies
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, Friday, April 4, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security, will lead a delegation to the Southwest Border to conduct oversight of Trump administration border policies firsthand. The visit will include tours of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) border facilities and technologies near San Diego, California. Members will hear from Custom and Border Protection’s Office of Field Operations, U.S Border Patrol, CBP Air and Marine Operations, and Homeland Security Investigations. The visit will also include a discussion with organizations working directly with migrants.
